Process BCWP

Process BCWP calculates BCWS, BCWP, SV, and SPI for every budgeted task in your schedule and displays Inception-to-Date results in a special view. It also allows you to generate files to import BCWP and EV Milestone results to your Cost Management software.

Step 1 -

Click "Process BCWP"

With the file to be processed open and active, click Process BCWP on the SDSI Analysis Tools toolbar as shown (you may also select it from the SDSI Analysis Tools menu under the Tools drop-down menu).

Step 2 -

Enter Date

Once activated, the following dialog box will appear requesting the date for which BCWS and BCWP are to be calculated. Make the appropriate entry and click “OK”.

Step 3 -

Your Excel Report

Once processing is complete, Excel will launch as display the results for import into Cost Management software (the example shown as formatted for MPM). The user should review and save this data.

Step 4 -

Your Project Report

Also after processing is complete, the tool will generate and display your MS Project file in a view much like the one shown. This view allows Inception-to-Date BCWS, BCWP, SV, and SPI data be viewed for each task in the schedule which has a budget. This data will match the Excel file results (which would import into Cost Management software such as MPM) and allows the user an immediate Earned Value result without having to wait for Cost Management software reports.
