SDSI began its relationship with Northrop-Grumman’s Navigation & Space Sensors Division (NSD) in September of 2003. The initial task was to provide consulting services on how to migrate from the Artemis Scheduling software. SDSI supported NSD in developing disciplined data handling processes for converting Artemis schedule data in Microsoft Project files.
SDSI already had the forerunner of its Estimates / Reports tool and used it to extract financial data from the newly created Microsoft Project files for import into Micro-frame Program Manager (MPM). The success of this effort and others which strengthened NSD’s Cost/Schedule Integration processes and capabilities led to the packaging of the first SDSI Utilities Toolset in December 2003.
